Dr. Siasa Issa Mzenzi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting of the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS) of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. He has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom Accounting) and Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (MBA-Finance) from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Doctorate in Accounting (PhD-Accounting) from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom (UK). He holds relevant certificates of competence in application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs) offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA (T) registered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania. Before joining the University, in the past, Dr. Siasa has worked with KPMG (Dar es Salaam Office) as audit trainee and Ernest & Young (Dar es Salaam Office) as auditor. Dr. Siasa has more than 15 years’ experience in teaching and consulting in different areas including financial reporting, management accounting, cost accounting, auditing, taxation, procurement, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, risk management, strategic planning, and investment appraisals
