The University of Dar es Salaam Business School hosted a party to welcome the new staff members, congratulate the recently promoted staff and farewell the retired seniors. The party welcomed new staff members who comprised of new assistant lecturers and lecturers. The school congratulated staff members who were promoted to different posts; from assistant lecturer position to lecturer and from lecturer to senior lecturers. An expressive and honorable farewell was given to three retired staff. The event that was coordinated by Prof. Omari Mbura started with the words of appreciation to the retired staff from the School Dean, Dr. Latifa Mbelwa, thanking and praising their Nobel contribution to the School and the University of Dar es Salaam for their years of service. The Dean notified them that “they are retired but not tired” and thus they should consider keeping the pace of development everywhere they go. The Dean called upon the new and promoted staff to carry on the passion for innovative and hardwork for the betterment of the School, University and the country at large. Gifts were given to the celebrated and the event ended with an enchanting feast of foods and drinks, various games and dancing.
