About MDCB

Management Development and Consultancy Bureau (MDCB) was established in 1998 by the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS). UDBS-is an academic, research, and consultancy school under the University of Dar es Salaam that was established in 1979 by an Act of Parliament (that has been repealed and replaced by the Universities Act of 2005). UDBS was since then and to date as stated in her strategic mission charged with three mandates, namely;

  1. to transmit the accumulated knowledge through teaching;
  2. to generate and advance new knowledge through research and
  3. to offer consultancy services

In facilitating the above mandated mission, UDBS formed MDCB. MDCB is affiliated with the University of Dar es Salaam Consultancy Bureau (UCB) of the University of Dar es Salaam and the University of Dar es Salaam Entrepreneurship Centre (UDEC) to deliver management Consultancy, Contractual Research, and Training desired quality services.

  1. Training and consultancy services in; human resources management (Including recruitment Services), leadership and management development skills, Sector Wide Approaches (SWAPs),
  2. Capacity Building, Team building, Training, and Development Services, financial management, risk management, entrepreneurship, financial accountability, and transparency in the public sector.
  3. Assets and liabilities management in financial institutions, lease management, personal finance, retirement planning, performance management, and accountability
  4. Consultancy services in areas of public procurement practices and procedures, Communications, and Advocacy
  5. Carrying out business plans, project write-ups, project management, financial/project audits, Baselines Midterm and End Term Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Resources Mobilization, Proposal Writing Facilitation, corporate strategy Planning, Research Services, and Translation Services
