Dr. Evelyn Mweta Richard who is married with one daughter is in a field of business management for almost 22 years and was trained from the University of Dar es Salaam-Tanzania, Makerere University – Uganda & Umeå School of Business – Sweden. Evelyn has been engaged with teaching, research, consultancy and other public services more specific in the sub-field of finance. She has participated intellectually and practically with people in the government, private sector, the civil society sector, development partners and communities in the country through training, research and consultancy/public services. Evelyn has been engaged in assisting some organizations develop their strategic plan documents, business plans, project/programme documents and Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks. She has also an opportunity to work in an assignment that required to gain a comprehensive understanding of the location, type and scale of agricultural investments in the Tanzania, and visualizing where investors are working, what they exactly invest along the agricultural value chain, with whom they are working, and map all the investment accordingly to enable synergy and coordination of efforts to promote agricultural development in Tanzania. Evelyn has been the Head of Department of Finance, UDBS (since July, 2015 to Oct, 2021). Prior to holding the Headship position Dr. Evelyn was the Manager responsible for Planning, Finance and Investment for the School (UDBS) the position that she held for almost 10 years since 2006. During that time, she participated in designing and managing among others, donor funded projects like BSPS III. Dr Evelyn Richard has researched and published conference and journal papers both singly and jointly with other academicians. |
