When major units within University of Dar es Salaam, such as Colleges, Schools, Institutes, Directorates and large administrative units want to communicate, they must add their correct college, school, institute, directorate and large administrative unit name under the Logo and the University of Dar es Salaam name.
Major units within the University that contain sub-units such as departments or centers must add their sub-unit name. As a general rule, it is mandatory for departments or centers to use the name of their colleges or schools as well.
Names will only include the full, grammatically correct, formal name of the unit. Also they will only include words, as no symbols (e.g., &, @, #, etc.) are permitted.
On the left, are representative sample of how Colleges, Schools, Institutes, Directorates and major units will be incorporated into the University Logo. This will allow the University of Dar es Salaam to portray a unified, consistent and coherent look.
