Research

Currently, research activities at the Institute are guided by the University of Dar es Salaam Research Agenda which is cascaded to the IDS. The Tanzania Journal of Development Studies is a flagship journal owned and hosted by the IDS. The Institute is undertaking researches around the following broad thematic areas:

Engaging pro-active male champions

200 men from 20 Villages of Kilolo and Mufindi Districts are engaged to stimulate demand for and use of ANC, Facility Delivery and postnatal services. Proactive male agents of change also conduct peer-to-pear outreach.
