Currently, DUP provides its services which mainly based on publishing and bookselling.
1. Publishing
Publishing is the core DUP function. The manuscripts accepted for publication undergo four main processes: Editing, Typesetting, Proofreading and Graphic Designing. We publish a variety of manuscripts such as textbook and reference books from primary, secondary, technical and higher education, scholarly materials, journals, story books, magazines, strategic plans, and University documents such as almanacs, prospectuses, research agenda, annual reports, to mention but a few.
2. Bookselling
DUP sells books of different types published under this unit. This is done through an organized system of book distribution activities to meet UDSM students’ demand, other Universities and the general public.
