THEME: SOCIAL SCIENCES AND TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH

Voice of Social Sciences (VSS) is a biannual international conference that is organised by the College of Social Sciences at the University of Dar es Salaam since 2014. VSS 2022 will reflect on ‘Social Science and Transformations’ that the world is undergoing with particular focus on the global south’s responses to epistemic and practical opportunities and challenges of such transformations.

The aim of the 7 ^th VSS conference is to raise voices emerging from social science research in the global south to bring to discussions the myriad societal impacts and responses to the ongoing transformations. The conference invites scholars, practitioners and students from a wide range of social science disciplines - sociology, political science, economics, statistics, anthropology, geography, environment and related disciplines – to engage and advance social science research.

In particular, we invite paper abstracts, panel proposals and student posters which address at least one of the following sub-themes;
