About Directorate of Social Services

The Directorate of Social Services has the mandate to facilitate the provision of Social Services at the University of Dar es Salaam. It consists of four units names: University Health Centre, Sports and Games, Counselling Services and Health Insurance.

Vision

To become an effective centre in ensuring that staff and students are Inspired Motivated and Healthy.

Mission

To enhance the provision of quality Social Services by the University of Dar es Salaam.

Objectives

1. Ensuring the smooth delivery of health care to the University Community and the neighbourhood;
2. Responsible for overall coordination and promotion of sports and games at the University;
3. Responsible for overall coordination and promotion of counselling services at the university; and to
4. Coordinate the provision of health insurance services at the university.
