The Department of Mathematics of University of Dar es Salaam participated in writing a project proposal for to the TFK 2022, Team Finland Knowledge programme. The proposed project was titled as “Working Life Interaction in Modelling and Data-Skills (WOLIMODS)”. WOLIMODS was one of the 30 successful projects.
WOLIMODS involves three Finland universities and three universities from East Africa. Universities from Finland are:
- Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology
- Tampere University
- University of Jyväskylä
Universities from East Africa are:
- University of Dar es Salaam,
- Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (Arusha-Tanzania), and
- University of Rwanda
