Dr Kidima is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Zoology, College of Natural and Applied Science at University of Dar es Salaam. She has a strong education professional with a PhD focused in Tropical Medicine Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology from University of Hawaii, John Burns School of Medicine. During her four-years- studies at the University of Hawaii, USA (2009-2013) she obtained various awards including Delta Kappa Gamma Award (by International Educators USA), Achievement Award (by Department of Tropical Medicine, Hawaii) and Joseph Alicata Award (by Department of Tropical Medicine, University of Hawaii, and Manoa. Currently, Kidima is teaching Immunology of infectious diseases, Parasitology and Molecular Biology of Parasites, and supervises both postgraduate and undergraduate projects. Dr. Kidima does research on infectious diseases particularly malaria neglected parasitic diseases and HIV.  Her publications have ranged from biomedical sciences, health, immunology, epidemiology, malaria vector control and neglected parasitic tropical diseases and. She has also special interest on maternal and child health studies.
