He was Mathematics Department Examination Officer (2010 to 2015), Deputy Examination Officer (2014 to 2018) at the college of Natural and applied Sciences, Board Member, Transportation and Geotechnical Engineering, University of Dar es Salaam (2009 to 2013). He has also served as external examiners to various higher learning Institutions Nyimvua S. Mbare (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a Bed(Sc) degree in Double Mathematics, a MSc. degree in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematics, specializing in Biomathematics and Biostatistics. Nyimvua’s research interests are on Biomathematics and Stochastic processes. Most of his work has covered modelling the dynamics of diseases and their controls, ecological modelling statistical modelling. The researches have produced several publications in international and local journals. Nyimvua has supervised over 40 Masters and 10 PhD students to completion. He is currently supervising 2 masters and 8 PhD students who are at different stages thesis writing.
