Dr. Iman Yangaza is a Lecturer in the Department of Botany at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Iman is an academician and researcher with a robust Molecular Biology and Biotechnology foundation, holding a Bachelor's degree (1st Class Honours), a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, and a PhD in Botany from the University of Dar es Salaam. Iman has received several prestigious awards, including the 2022 Plant Cell Atlas Travel Award from the Carnegie Institution for Science, a Certificate of Award from the American Society of Plant Biology-African Researchers Network, and a Certificate of Award from Bio-innovation for Africa from JR Biotek Foundation. He has also secured multiple competitive research grants, reflecting his active engagement in research that addresses critical issues in plant science, climate change, and food security. Iman has participated in numerous workshops and training programs, both locally and internationally, enhancing his skills in advanced statistics, experimental design, and scientific writing.
