Advertisement of Scholarships for East African Students to Study Master of Business Research and Master of Science in Sustainable Management and Operations at the University of Dar es Salaam

Master of Business Research (MBR) and Master of Science in Sustainable Management and Operations (MSc SM) are two-year master’s level programmes offered by the University of Dar es Salaam in collaboration with Kuehne Logistics University, Hamburg, Germany. The scholarships are provided through the Africa Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Operations for Resource Management and Food Supply (ACESO), which was established with the financial support of Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). The Centre brings together the University of Nairobi (UoN), the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), the Kuehne Logistics University (KLU) and the Kühne Foundation to jointly contribute to enhanced skills and knowledge in business research.

The Master of Business Research program will offer students advanced training in research skills, techniques, and methodologies to conduct high-quality and original research in business and related disciplines. Successful candidates will learn from highly interdisciplinary teams of professors and industry professionals in operations management, supply chains, business economics, and management science. This will holistically equip students with the requisite skills and knowledge on business operations and research that have been missing in conventional business management training, hence making the program unique.

The MSc SM Program will give students the skills and knowledge required for sustainable business operations. Successful candidates will learn from a highly interdisciplinary team of professors and industry professionals in agribusiness, operations management, supply chains, agricultural economics, business science, and sustainability. This will holistically equip them with the requisite skills and knowledge on sustainable operations that have been missing in conventional business management training, making the program unique.
