Pius Mwamwaja is an Assistant Lecturer, specializing in marine benthic ecology with a focus on coral reefs and other associated ecosystems. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aquatic Environmental Science and Conservation from UDSM and a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from Zhejiang Ocean University, China.
His research interests lie in understanding the ecological dynamics of marine benthic communities, and their responses to environmental changes. Pius is passionate about conservation and sustainable management of marine ecosystems, employing field-based and experimental approaches in his work.
