Biography

Education Background: Experienced sociologist in areas of Gender, health and population
studies, rural and urban, as well as policy sociology. Also, experiences & skills in public
speaking, lecturing, organizing, research lead, and political economy analyst. Education history,
bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Dar Es salaam (2016). Also, Masters of
Arts in sociology focus on healthcare inequality, the commodification on of healthcare, health
insurance, and neoliberalism (Dar Es salaam-Tanzania) from the University of Dar Es salaam
(2020). Studied primary education at Wailes Primary school (Temeke-Dar Es Salaam) &
Secondary education from Marumbo secondary school & Benjamin Mkapa high School at
Coastal and Dar es salaam, Tanzania respectively (2006. 2010, and 2013).

Current status: Assistant Lecturer, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of
Dar es salaam.

Funded Research Project: Public health research at Meru district, Arusha-Tanzania (2015)
under collaboration between University of Dar es salaam University from Chicago-USA.
Adolescent girls and their contribution to the secondary school a case of Songwe and Kishapu
District Tanzania under a research grant from University of Dar Es salaam (2018-2020).
Sustainable Oceans, Livelihoods, and Food Capacity through increased Capacity in Ecosystem
research in the Western Indian Ocean (SOLSTICE-WIO) a case of Tanga-Mafia, Tanzania
(2019).
Consultancy: Consulted for Reviewed the Blueprint for Business Environment in Tanzania
(2020-2021). Reviewed the filmmaking in Tanzania (Bongo Movie) since independence up to
current with Luxa Luxemburg Institution from Germany, Dar es salaam-Tanzania (2017-2020).
Consulted to provide voters education (2015). Gender Specialist in Environmental and Social
Impact Assessment (ESIA) for SGR Project lots 3 (Makutopora-Tabota), 4 (Tabora-Isaka), and 5
(Mwanza-Isaka) in Tanzania (2021-2022).
