Call for Applications into Funded Postdoctoral Fellowship

Background

Institute of Resource Assessment, University of Dar es Salaam, Technical University of Nairobi, the University of Djibouti, the SIMAD-University of Mogadishu and the Jamuriya University of Science and Technology (JUST), Somalia and the University of Addis Ababa and its African Center of Excellence on Water Management in Ethiopia have received funding from the Fonds Expertise France of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign affairs-under the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches de Djibouti (CERD) and Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) to implement a project entitled “Doctoral Alliance for Climate Adaptation (ADAC)”. The project aims to support the rehabilitation of fragile socio-ecosystems in East Africa through establishing a regional research and innovation space for climate adaptation and mitigation, focusing on the resilience of vulnerable areas. It supports localised research and partnerships with key socio-ecosystem management actors. The Alliance is developing Priority Adaptation and Innovation Zones (ZAPI), where climate and environmental monitoring actions, training, research, and innovation are combined.
