Mr. Sawadi Fransisco Ndunguru is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation within the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam. Mr. Ndunguru held his first position as a member academic staff at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2015. He teaches and supervises undergraduate students. He holds a BSc. degree with Education (2012) and MSc degree in Applied Zoology (2019). Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Mr. Ndunguru has skills and knowledge in biological research and teaching. He teaches several courses that include Developmental Biology, Scientific Research Methods, and Biostatistics.  He is interested in Evolutionary Developmental Biology and Evolutionary Physiology. He is currently, working on nutritional requirements and the factors that determine the sensing mechanisms of the nutritional composition status in animals. He investigates questions as to the effect of amino acid composition on growth, development, and aging in field and laboratory experiments specifically in birds. He is particularly interested in the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling and in the role of amino acids in regulating growth, development, and aging.
