Makungu Marco Madirisha (MSc) is Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry Department. Currently, he is a PhD Candidate in the field of Earth Resources (Petroleum) and Geothermal Energy at University of Twente (ITC), The Netherlands.
His research interest focuses on Geo-Energy (Petroleum and Geothermal). Precisely, his research aims on understanding the reservoir geochemistry and corrosion of pipelines and casings. More importantly, his expertise on analytical techniques includes Analytical Spectra Device (ASD), Hyperspectral Remote Sensing, ICP-OES, SEM-EDX, XRD, XRF, TGA, EMP, FTIR, MS and NMR.
Mr. Madirisha teaches various courses which include Surface chemistry for Petroleum Industry, Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals, Polymer Chemistry and, Chemistry of Biofuels. Subsequently, Mr. Madirisha has been involved in various research projects which include:
