Dr-Ing Lwitiko Pholds Mwakyusa is a lecturer at the Department of Physics, University of Dar es Salaam. My research work focuses on the development and characterization of materials for renewable energy and photocatalysis. Currently, I am interested in:

  1. Kesterite-based solar cells—my research work involves the fabrication and characterization of kesterite solar cells.
  2. Preparation and characterization of the undoped and doped TiO2 thin film to understand the photocatalytic properties of the materials.
  3. Development and characterization of transparent conducting oxide based on ZnO and ITO
  4. Preparation and characterization of the materials for radiative cooling purposes
  5. Design and fabrication of solar cookers
