Emanuel Ismael Maphie is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Dar es Salaam. His academic journey started in 2006 when he joined University of Dar es Salaam for a three years degree programme, pursuing Bachelor of Education in Education Psychology. He graduated in 2009 whereas in the same year, he was admitted in a master programme degree, pursuing Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Dar es Salaam. After his master degree in 2011, he joined Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies; Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE), a constituent college of the University of Dar es Salaam as an assistant lecturer; teaching Educational Psychology, Psychology of Exceptionalities, Special Needs Education and Research Methods in Education courses. In 2013, he joined the PhD programme at the University of Dar es Salaam where he graduated in 2018 and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (PhD in Education) of the University of Dar Es Salaam. In 2020, he transferred to the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Dar es Salaam where he teaches psychology and research courses.
