Mr Conrad John Masabo is an assistant lecturer in Political Science in the Department of History, Political Science and Development Studies (HPD). He holds an MPhil in Childhood Studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology(NTNU), Masters in Governance and Regional Integration from the Pan African University (PAU), and B.A.Ed. (History and Political Science, 1st class hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam. Mr Masabo’s research interest and teaching broadly revolves around: Governance and Global Governance; Regional Organisations and Regional Integration; Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution in Africa; Marxism, Political Philosophy, and African Political Philosophy; Gender, Politics, Democratization and Citizenship in Tanzanian Politics; and Childhood, Children Labour, Children Work and Schooling in Africa. Currently, he is researching on China’s Engagement with Tanzania with a focus on: Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Tanzania and Chinese Outward Foreign Direct Investment (COFDI) in Tanzania. Mr Masabo is the author of Regional Organizations and Sustainable Governance of Mineral Resources in Tanzania (2016).
