Christopher Alphonce Mduda is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, in the Department of Crop Sciences and Beekeeping Technology. He teaches courses in the field of Beekeeping Science including Honey Bee Genetics and Breeding and Honey Bee Pests and Diseases. Mr. Mduda also does research and supervises undergraduate students in research projects. He has research interests in stingless bees and their domestication, bee taxonomy, bee health and conservation of both stinging and stingless bees. Currently, Mr. Mduda is also pursuing a PhD in Beekeeping Science and Technology (UDSM) where he is studying the taxonomy of Tanzanian stingless bees, indigenous knowledge and composition of meliponine honey.
