Avirt S. Lighuda is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics of the Dar es Salaam University College of Education. He teaches undergraduate mathematics courses i.e. Linear programming, Mathematical statistics, Ordinary differential equations, Numerical analysis, Partial differential equations, and Linear algebra. Currently, he is undertaking Ph.D. studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. His current research is on Mathematical Physics "Modelling of the stellar objects in the core-envelope setting with double-layered envelope". He holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Dodoma, Tanzania. His research interest includes investigation of the interior matter variables for the relativistic objects (Application of mathematics in general relativity).
