Dr Aurelia Kimaro is a lecturer at the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies at the school of Education, University of Dar es Salaam (Mwalimu Nyerere Campus). She holds a PhD degree from the University of Education, Shwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. Masters and Bachelor degrees in Education from the University of Dar es Salaam.  Her research areas and interests include: Sustainability and/or environmental education, sustainable communities, environmental management, climate change and Curriculum studies, teaching and learning particularly in Social science education in primary and secondary education. She has supervised Phd and Masters students since 2019 and a good number completed successfully. She has coordinated several field practical training to both Under/Post graduate students.  She has published and presented in international/national scholar conferences in Hungary, Finland, U.K. and Tanzania.

She has rendered professional/methodological/technical support to NACTE, TIE, TASWO, and the Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA), FEZA schools, Kilimanjaro, Nuru Angavu and Karansi Pre-primary schools as well as Siha Leadership Schools. She possesses leadership skills from Uongozi East African Leadership Institute and appointed to participate in leadership World Conferences for Women in Mozambique and Spain. She holds a chair position in Christian Chaplaincy of Tanzania at the University of Dar es Salaam 2022-2024 and in Sanya-Siha Alumni Kilimanjaro 2021-2024. In the same vein, appointed as National observer for the country’s General elections at Ruvuma region (South Tunduru constituency in 2015).
