Amina J. Seleman is an Assistant Lecturer in the department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning, whose research aims at improving curriculum on moral and ethical point of view to inform educational policy and practices. She is known for her research on attitude of students and parents towards provision of moral education in Ilala Municipality. She has also clarified "Mbinu za Ufundishaji wa Kiswahili," in Samwel, M. (ed.) (2013) Ushairi wa Kiswahili na Mwongozo kwa Walimu wa Kiswahili, MEVELI Publishers: Dar es Salaam. She also received a DAAD In-Country scholarship to University of Dar es Salaam where she pursued her M.A in Education. Before joining the higher education academia, Amina received two(2) Faculty Prizes on academic performance for two years consecutively, for being the best student, Faculty of Education (DUCE) during 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 academic year. She also got Principal's Prize for being the Best Female Finalist from Faculty of Education (DUCE) during 2010/2011 academic year. Before joining DUCE, Amina taught Kiswahili in Secondary schools and Educational Foundational courses in teacher's colleges.
