Kanje is a lecturer, researcher and consultant in the Department of Marketing at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS) in Tanzania, where he has been a member of staff since 2007. He holds a PhD in Business Administration. He is an associate member in the Centre for Policy Research and Advocacy (CPRA).

Kanje has a strong experience in training in the areas of brand management, business communication, entrepreneurship, retirement planning, policy advocacy and dialogue, customer experience management, marketing and selling, labor market information, leadership and management. His research interests are in the areas of marketing communication, social media, business environment, entrepreneurship and innovation as well as on consumer behavior. Kanje has consulted for a number of organizations in both private and public sectors in the areas of strategic and business planning, policy advocacy and dialogue, private sector development, labor market information, corporate entrepreneurship and business/marketing strategy development. He holds a very good experience in both private sector and public sector development issues.
