Chairman of the Board of NMB Bank, Dr. Edwin Mhede, has appointed our Alumna Ms. Ruth Zaipuna as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank with effect from August 18, 2020

Ruth becomes the first woman to hold a senior position at NMB Bank, where she was the acting CEO of the Bank since October 2019. Ruth holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Dar-es-Salaam.

Also, she is an Associate Certified Public Accountant CPA (T). Ruth has worked with various organizations including Prince Waterhouse Coopers Limited (PwC), served as an Executive Director Finance and CFO of Standard Chartered Bank before joining NMB Bank.
