Chinese courses offered

Chinese classes are offered for students of Form 1 to Form 4 of middle school and Form 5 of high school. For Form 1 and Form 2, Chinese classes are compulsory. For Form 3, Form4 and Form 5, Chinese courses are optional. There are 2 classes every week for Form 1 and From 5, 3 classes every week for Form 2, Form 3 and Form 4. Each class lasts for 40 minutes. The textbook being used is Happy Chinese.

The school has a morning meeting for students every Monday and Friday from 7:00 to 7:30, in which there is a 3-minute Chinese sharing, teachers helping students prepare for speech and sing. In addition, HSK training courses and national examination training courses are offered. There are Chinese club activities every Saturday and cultural experience activities will be held from 3:00 to 5:00pm to enrich students’ campus life.

Excellent students

1. Alicia

In the 10th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students in 2017, Alicia, a student of Form 6, won the first prize in the Chinese Bridge Competition and went to China to participate in the competition.

2. Agness

In the 11th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students in 2018, the Form 3 student Agness won the second prize in the Chinese Bridge Competition.

School environment

St. Christina Girls’ Secondary School is a Girls’ Boarding school situated in Tanga Municipality 5 kilometers from Tanga town along the Dar-es-salaam road. It has acreage of 27 acres covered by all green good landscape of grass, coconut, mango trees and other vegetation. There are currently 620 students in the school. It has complete infrastructure, including monitor room, multimedia classrooms, computer room, laboratory, library, etc.
