Motuo is a county as well as a traditional region of the Linzhi Prefecture in the southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region of People’s Republic of China,covering an area of 30,553 km2. In Tibetan language,it means “flower”.It further stretches across McMahon Line into neighboring Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Motuo is located in the average altitude ranging from 1,000–3,500 metres (3,300–11,500 ft) above seas level. It covers 30,000 square kilometres (12,000 sq mi) stretching from south of Kongpoand Powo (Bomê) through the lower Yarlung Tsangpo River into Arunachal Pradesh, surrounded by high mountains: the tallest is Namcha Barwa at 7,782 metres (25,531 ft)). Xining西宁 Xining is the capital of Qinghai province in western China and the largest city on the Tibetan Plateau. It has 2,208,708 inhabitants at the 2010 census among whom 1,198,304 live in the built-up area made of 4 urban districts. The city was a commercial hub along the Northern Silk Road’s Hexi Corridor for over 2000 years and a stronghold of the Han, Sui, Tang, and Song dynasties’ resistance against nomadic attacks from the west.
