Dr. Lupa Ramadhani is the Director in the Office of the Vice Chancellor. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department Political Science and Public Administration. He did his doctoral studies at the University College Dublin in Ireland where he graduated with a PhD in 2012. He has a Master of Arts in International Relations (2001) and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration (1999) both obtained from the University of Dar es Salaam.
Other positions held by Dr. Ramadhani at the University of Dar es Salaam include acting Director of Social Services from September 2017 to June 2018 and Coordinator of Undergradate Studies in the College of Social Sciences from 2013 to 2016. He has also served as Programme Administrator for the Research and Education for Democracy in Tanzania (REDET); Programme Administration for the Tanzania Election Monitoring Committee (TEMCO) and in 2015 election the TEMCO Political Analyst.
Outside the University of Dar es Saalam Dr. Ramadhani was the founding Chairman of the East and Horn of Africa Election Observers’ Network with headquarters in Nairobi from 2013 to 2018; External Examiner, Centre for Foreign Relations for six years from 2012; Guest Lecturer and Internal Examiner for the National Defence College from 2017; Foreign Services Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 2003; and Intern at the Permanent Mission of the United Republic of Tanzania at the United Nations in New York in 1999.
Dr. Ramadhani has published articles in peer reviewed journals, has produced working papers and has been involved in various research and public service activities.
