The vision of DSTS is efficient, effective and sustainable Student Affairs Services at UDSM that guarantee and maintain a conducive environment to nurture and empower students to become and behave as mature, dedicated, responsible, constructive members of UDSM community and citizens.

The core values of DSTS are the provision of high-quality services that nurture students to engage in academic and social development, the provision of adequate information to students that helps them to make a smooth transition in the university and beyond and responding to the needs of students by connecting them to numerous sources of information and/or services.
