Call for Applications for the next DIES- Training Course International Deans’ Course Africa 2023/24


The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück, CHE, HRK and DAAD in co-operation with Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation and experts from African Universities are happy to inform you that the Call for Applications for the next DIES- Training Course International Deans' Course Africa 2023/24 is out now. In order to receive as many qualified applications as possible we are kindly asking you to disseminate this information and the call as widely as possible amongst your networks and colleagues.Eligible to apply for this modular and practice-oriented training are candidates of the following countries:

Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

Further key criteria are:

•             Applicants should be deans, vice-deans aiming at taking over a dean's position in the future or heads of department (in case of specialized, decentralized universities newly appointed Vice-Presidents/-Rectors are also highly welcomed)

•             Applicants should be preferably between 40 and 50 years old (+/- 2 years is tolerable).

•             Active and excellent English language skills (speaking and writing) are indispensable.

Candidates are invited to submit the applications until the October 31st, 2022 to the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Ms. Freya Gallenkamp via e-mail idc@hs-osnabrueck.de (application form including a letter of motivation, organizational chart of the university, letter of recommendation from university leadership as well as a proof of English proficiency). Selected candidates will be informed about the results of the selection meeting in February.
