It is my pleasure to welcome you to Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) which is a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). The aim of UDSM is to provide the best possible environment for teaching, learning, research and public services.  Its track record of success is well known in East Africa, Africa and the rest of the world. Therefore, MUCE is very proud to be part of UDSM.

The College is located in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania particularly in Iringa Municipal Council about 3 kilometres from the main bus stand. MUCE has various sports and recreational facilities such as football, netball and basketball fields. Other services such as banks are located within walking distance from the campus.

Currently MUCE has three faculties namely:  Faculty of Education (FoED), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS) and Faculty of science (FoS). The college offers four undergraduate programmes. These programmes are Bachelor of Arts with Education B.A (Ed.), Bachelor of Science with Education BSc. (Ed), Bachelor of Education in Arts BED (Arts) and Bachelor of Education in Science BED (Sc.). Apart from undergraduate programmed the College also offers  postgraduate programmes. Currently the postgraduate programmes offered include  Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Master of Science with Education (M.Sc. Ed.) in Biology and Chemistry Streams and Master of Arts with Education (M.A. Ed.) in Geography Stream.
