The College Principal, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka held a meeting with first year students on 11th November 2022 at New Lecture Theatre C’. In this meeting, the Principal welcomed the first year students and introduced the college Management. This was a day that the Principal made public appearance to the first year students.  

Speaking during the gathering, Prof. Maluka appreciated the College workforce. He said that, currently, the College has 567 energetic and hardworking staff. He added that the College has 278 academic staff members and 289 administrative staff members. He further noted that the College has 4 professors, 23 senior lecturers and 111 staff with doctoral degrees. In order to maintain excellence, Prof. Maluka asked the academic and administrative staff members to continue working hard to meet organizational goals.

Prior, the Principal’s speech, the Deputy Principal, Planning, Finance and Administration (PFA), Prof. Method Samwel addressed first year by advising them to carefully cope with university life. He told them to observe financial and time management, gender issues, personal hygiene and acceptable attire.

On the other hand, the Deputy Principal, Academic, Research and Consultancy (ARC), Dr. Christina Raphael requested students to work hard, develop creativity and maintain academic excellence.

In the same meeting, the College community received some highlights from PCCB as reported by their spokesman from Temeke district. He reminded first year students and the College Community to discourage all forms of sexual favours.
