The College Principal, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka held a meeting with all staff members on 18th July 2022 at New Lecture Theatre C’. During the meeting, Prof. Maluka expressed the general achievement made by the college in the previous academic year. He was impressed by the newly developed projects, increased research funds and improved infrastructures.

He was also fascinated by concerted efforts made by secondary school teachers who enabled Chang’ombe secondary school to rank top ten in the 2021 Form Four National Examinations. 

…According to NECTA results, the college owned school in Temeke Municipality emerged the 9th among the public secondary schools in the country. We are now competing with old and giant special schools in the country… He said.

He insisted on implementation of the new incentive scheme that aims at encouraging employee’s productivity of products and services.

Prior the Principal’s speech, the Deputy Principal (PFA), Dr. Method Samwel addressed the Staff community on the issues raised in the previous meeting. He said that the fund from HEET project will automatically expand the capacity of the College to train its staff, develop modern infrastructure and improve teaching and research for the college to achieve its full potential.

On her part, the Head of Gender Diversity Unit, Dr. Ikupa Moses Mwandambo introduced members of gender desk. She said the purpose of gender desk is to assist in administering issues related to gender-based violence.

In the same meeting, the Staff community received some highlights from NMB, NBC and UTT as presented by marketing officers.
