On 26th July 2022, the College Principal, Prof. Stephen Maluka welcomed six academic members of staff who graduated their PhDs from different Universities within and outside the country.

Prof. Maluka said the new PhD staff will enhance new academic force, and urged them to become frontiers in teaching, research and consultancy. He insisted that teaching at higher learning institutions should always be supported with research.

Speaking with practical examples, the Deputy Principal (ARC), Dr. Christina Raphael encouraged the new lecturers to careful examine and, if possible, share their PhD research findings. She was optimistic that their joint effort and other collaborations will enable them to participate in the UDSM research grand competition.

Similarly, the Deputy Principal (PFA), Dr. Method Samwel applauded them for attaining PhD, which is referred to as a proper platform for academician. He asked them to work hard while the College Management is establishing better working environment.

Presenting a vote of appreciation, Dr. Monica Kauky on behalf of the new PhD Staff, expressed her gratitude to the College Management. She promised to entirely engage in research, public service and other outreach programmes.
