A two-day training involving science and mathematics students at DUCE took place between 5th and 6th March 2020.
The training is part of the project aiming at imparting practical skills to teach using the current Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC). The training underscores some underpinning issues surrounding Problem-Solving Learning (PBL).
44 students (14 females, 30 males) who attended the training will be posted to teach in nearby secondary schools under special guidance and supervision. There will be two students in each school who will teach for two hours in a week for eight weeks.
The programme intends to prepare student teachers to work in a professional sphere of work that ensure their success when implementing competence-based curriculum in classroom setting.
