The College has intensified its measures against spread of the novel Coronavirus as the College welcome students who were at homes after the temporary closure on 18th March 2020.
The re-opening on 1st June 2020 follows government’s announcement to re-open all Colleges and Universities after significant drop of the people affected by the COVID-19 countrywide.
The Acting Director of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), Dr Kenneth Hosea, visited DUCE to determine the College’s level of compliance with the guidelines governing practices to curb the spread of Coronavirus at the College.
Tanks of water and buckets with taps for washing hands were scattered at different places to ensure that students and visitors to the College have access to hand washing facilities crucial for fighting against the spread of coronavirus.
University of Dar es Salaam made face masks and DUCE made hand sanitizers are also available at highly reduced prices at the College. Both the face masks and hand sanitizers have been accredited by the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA).
