Pupils at the College owned primary and secondary schools will benefit from 100 new desks, thanks the National Micro-finance Bank – NMB.

The NMB has donated 50 desks and chairs to the primary school and 50 others to the secondary school as part of their profit which they slice as corporate-social responsibility.

During a brief ceremony to hand over the desks and chairs, the Temeke District Commissioner (DC), Mr. Felix Lyaniva, said the donation would help to improve the learning environment of the pupils in the two schools.

The Manager of NMB, Dar es Salaam Zone, Mr. Bardu Iddi, said that the desks and chairs were donated as part of saying ‘thank you’ to Tanzanians for becoming their customers.

Representing the Acting Principal of DUCE, the Deputy Principal (Academic), Dr. Julius Mbuna, expressed gratitude to NMB calling other corporate institutions to come to the fore.

‘We thank NMB for their gesture of hospitality,’ Dr. Mbuna said adding that more desks and chairs are needed at the demonstration schools.
