Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) conducted a colorful graduation ceremony on Saturday 26th November 2022. In this event, the University Chancellor, Hon. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete conferred degrees to 1588 graduates. 

Speaking during the event, the DUCE Governing Council Chairperson, Ambassador Mwanaidi Sinare appealed to the Government and sponsors to support in improving infrastructures and sponsorship to its staff for Masters and PhD degrees. She said that high cost to sponsor scholarships for its staff for Masters and PhD degrees abroad is a major challenge.

Ambassador Sinare hailed the Government for funding various development projects aimed at improving infrastructure. She added that through Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET), the Government has allocated more than 17bn/=, which will be used to facelift the available buildings, establish new ones and for upgrading DUCE staff.

DUCE Board Chairman, Prof. William Anangisye said the increase in student’s enrollment and the number of programmes is one of the major successes notably since its inception, seventeen years ago.

The College Principal, Prof. Stephen Maluka, said that in a period of seventeen years, the College has registered the remarkable success. He pledged to continue producing the best graduates demanded by the job market.
