Academics in the Department of Languages and Literature yesterday spent their time presenting reports of different research activities.
The departmental seminar did not interfere with teaching activities of respective instructors as the instructors with classes attended their classes and returned.
The presentations are expected to mature into full fledged papers to be submitted and published in different renowned peer reviewed journals.
A total of eleven (11) reports in different topics were presented and in each case discussions were preceded by thorough cross examination from selected discussants and other members of staff.
‘So far the turn-up has been impressive and it is encouraging,’ said the Head of Department Dr. Loveluck Philip adding that the department needs to consider setting aside two days for dissemination.
The Department of Languages and Literature organizes staff seminars in each semester. During these seminars researchers get opportunities to share their research findings.
