BICO is registered by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania as a consulting firm. and also as a materials testing laboratory. It has also been registered by the National Environmental Management Council (NEMC) to undertake Environmental Impact Assessment. Noise reduction system for the Vodacom’s standby generators at Kwale Street in Oyster bay Dar es Salaam was designed by BICO experts who also supervised its installation. The photo above is partial view of the power house building showing theacoustic attenuators and acoustic doors. The photo shows a residential grade exhaust silencer installed to an engineinside the power house building. Replacement and repositioning ofexhaust silencersby residential grade silencers was part of the noise reduction strategydesigned and supervised by BICO experts for the Vodacom’s standby generators at Kwale street in Oyster bay Dar es Salaam. Noise level was reduced from 70-80 dBA to less than 50 dBA at nearest residence.

Wakulima Eco Residence tower recently completed at Hananasif in Kinondoni Dar es Salaam is one of the National Housing Corporation (NHC)Design and Build Projects the construction of which was supervised by BICO (in association with CPI International Ltd). BICO was the Project Manager.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Participants of the Training of Trainers (ToT) course on small hydropower development in the East African Community pose for a group photo with representatives from the African Union, East African Community and the Training Provider.  BICO won the contract from the African Union to provide the training.
