Training Workshops

Training Workshop for Primary School Geography Teachers from Kinondoni Municipality held at the College of Arts and Social Sciences Conference at the University of Dar es Salaam on 28th -29th August, 2014. The training workshop was organized by the Centre for Climate Change Studies (CCCS) after being approached by the Geography teachers’ group representative, Mrs. Nesta Mwamfupe who noticed that teachers in her municipality needed further professional development in order to better teach their students. In response, the CCCS team organized a 2 day training workshop which was attended by 50 primary school Geography teachers from the Kinondoni Municipality. The teachers were trained on climate change issues including the science of climate change, vulnerability and impacts of climate change, responses to climate change challenges and national and international initiatives addressing climate change impacts.
