The Vice Chancellor, Prof. William A. L. Anangisye, regrets to announce the death of PROF. HERBERT V. LYARUU who passed away on Friday 5^th April 2019 at Muhimbili National Hospital. The late Prof. Lyaruu was employed by the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in the Department of Botany, College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS). He served the University diligently for 31 years, starting his academic career as Tutorial an Assistant in 1988. He was promoted through the ranks to Associate Professor in 2011.
